 Dear Members and friends of Clans of Ireland,
Clans of Ireland acknowledges that it has published photographs before and after the Data Protection Acts 1988 & 2003 came into force and as it wishes to ensure compliance with the Acts and that it is the cause of no possible inconvenience or embarrassment to individuals; it would like to invite requests from any individual, whose photograph appears on any Clans of Ireland publication or website, expressing a desire to have such photograph or photographs removed, by contacting the undersigned, when their wish will be immediately respected.

Clans of Ireland would like to request that any individual who does not wish to be photographed at any assemblies, gatherings, conferences or social functions should advise the Chairperson of the Board of Clans of Ireland, prior to the event and preferably in writing, when every effort will be made to ensure that any photograph taken, where that individual is clearly identifiable, will not be published by Clans of Ireland. In addition, where a person’s image is collected and uploaded to the Clans of Ireland website with their agreement, such an individual’s right to opt out subsequently and have their image removed from the publication or website will also be respected at any time.
